Dr. Joy Waldrop - Veterinarian

Dr. Joy Waldrop is a native of Hoover, AL and graduate of Hoover High School. She went on to do her undergraduate studies at Auburn University.

She was granted early acceptance to Auburn's College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2017. After graduation, Dr. Waldrop moved to South Georgia where she practiced mixed animal medicine for one year. In 2018, she was called back to her second home of Auburn, AL and practiced small animal medicine in the East Alabama area for 5 years. Dr. Waldrop is excited to be back in Birmingham closer to her family doing what she loves to do. Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery, feline medicine and dermatology.

In her free time, Dr. Waldrop enjoys time with her three dogs; Haley, Sullivan and Bear. She attends all home Auburn football games and is also a big basketball fan. War Eagle!
